Adults / Small Groups
There are many opportunities for adults to serve others and to grow in their faith at Christ Covenant Church.
One way that we can all get to know one another better is through small group fellowship. Our newest small group is Friday Night Lite, meeting every other Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:15pm. Click here to learn more!
The BIF (Brothers in Faith) group meets twice a month for bible study and is open to all men of the church. The “Biffy Boys” also run the free monthly community breakfast with the help of many other volunteers.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets once or twice a month to knit beautiful shawls that are dedicated and get distributed to those in need or in celebration of an event.
The mission of Helping Hands is to make quilts and other items that will be useful to children and adults of all ages. They meet monthly and it’s not necessary to be an expert sewer to participate in this ministry.
Our Visitation Committee assists Pastor Jim in reaching out to our shut-ins. Those on the committee use their gifts of empathy and compassion to bring a smile to someone’s day.
SAM – the Senior Adult Ministry meets monthly for various activities and to hear speakers discuss relevant topics. There are also trips when the weather cooperates, but one thing’s you can count on is that there’s always food involved!
The Women’s Ministry group is actively involved in the Covenant’s Rip-n-Roll ministry providing bandages to Congo in Africa. The women meet several times a year to make the bandages from donated sheets. They also host an annual luncheon that’s become a much anticipated event. In the fall, all women are invited to attend the East Coast Conference women’s retreat. There are additional opportunities for fellowship throughout the year.
Adult Sunday School class is held each week from 9AM to10AM in our Fellowship Hall. The adults view thought provoking video series by professionals such as Rick Warren, Bob Russell and Phillip Yancey among others, while enjoying coffee and small group discussion of the curriculum and designated Bible passages.
Small Group Bible Studies are conducted several times a year for those who want to journey together in their walk of faith.
